Cancellation Policies

Cooling Off Period

The cooling off period  is 21 days before the start of your contract for all 44-week, 51-week, and single-semester contracts.

Deferring Studies

If you deferred your entry, you're still eligible for accommodation. If you didn't enrol for the previous year, the system should recognise you as a new first-year student and allow you to book as normal for the upcoming academic year.

Early termination by students

You may terminate this Agreement early if: You withdraw from your course. You are excluded from or refused admission. You have been absent from your course for more than 60 days due to illness and have formally agreed a suspension of studies with your higher education provider. Replacement Tenant Accepted

While cancellation is not permitted after the cooling-off period, if a student wishes to exit their licence, they may arrange a suitable replacement tenant, subject to the following conditions: The replacement must be an existing NTU student not currently residing in accommodation. No booking deposit is required to reserve a room at this property. Note: You may need to pay a deposit for private halls of residence.

Yes, they can offer a lot of extra support for care experienced or estranged students.

Can I still apply for accommodation if I deferred my place?

Can I live with my friends?

Yes, you can book a room in the same flat as your friends, subject to availability. Your best chance for living with friends is to book your rooms when you’re together, so you can make sure you’re picking rooms in the same flat or residence.

Do you offer family or couples accommodation?

NTU does not currently provide university accommodation for families or couples.
